Classifieds sites

The widest selection, but also the most noise — brokers posing as owners, duplicate listings, and cars that sold weeks ago still showing. Useful for getting a sense of prices; frustrating as a shortlist.

Showrooms directly

Walking into showrooms gets you real stock you can inspect the same day, but you are limited to what those few dealers happen to hold, and you spend the day driving between them.

Dealer marketplaces

A marketplace that only lists verified dealers narrows the field to real businesses with real stock. On the Motrade Marketplace, every listing comes from a verified showroom running its inventory in the system, so a listed car is meant to be available, and you can see the dealer's profile before you call.

Word of mouth

Still one of the best sources for a clean car with known history, but slow and dependent on who you know. Worth asking around while you search other channels.

When nothing matches: post a demand

If you cannot find the exact car, Motrade's Demand Board lets you describe it — make, model, budget, city — and dealers with a match respond to you. It turns a long search into a short wait, and it is free to post.
